QC Manager
Role Overview:
The Quality Control Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that the residential roofing projects are executed to the standards of First Choice Roofing. This individual is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the quality and safety of the roofing installations, while also facilitating effective communication between various project managers, crews, and the homeowners.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance:
- Verify that the roofing materials are correct on site before build begins.
- Be sure the crew before work begins, install tarps gutter to ground at every area shingles are being removed.
- Inspect ongoing roofing installations to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards and specifications.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Documentation of the build as it is in progress is vital to the supplemental process of invoicing the insurance. Photographs before and after the installation of items that are only paid for when incurred must be taken throughout the build process.
Safety Compliance:
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety protocols, ensuring the homeowners when entering or exiting the work zone are guided out.
- Identify potential safety hazards on the job site and take immediate corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Keep the job site tidy and clean so there is less chance of an accident occurring.
Problem Solving:
- Identify issues with the build and document them and photos are needed of the issue. It would be your responsibility to oversee any punch out tasks needed to close out a job.
- Collaborate with the crew to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence of quality-related issues.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and expectations, ensuring that the final roofing product meets or exceeds their needs. Once finished you will have them sign a Certificate of Completion and upload it to our CRM.
